[How to Enable] Twitter introduces Two Factor Authentication system

After Google and Microsoft Twitter.com finally introduces Two factor authentication system to protect users account by adding extra security layer to sing in to your account.

Two factor authentication system is well known security feature already available on many online services such as Google and Outlook.com. If you have enabled two factor authentication system to your account, when you try sign in new device it requires additional security code which is sent to your mobile or Email. Even if someone know's your password he cant sign to your account without knowing additional security code.

How to Enable 2-step verification on Twitter:
  • Sign in to your Twitter account
  • Go to account settings page
  • Select “Require a verification code when I sign in.”
  • Click on the link to “add a phone” and follow the prompts. 

After you have enabled 2-step verification to your account, Twitter will send you six digit security code to your mobile via SMS, every time you try to sign in with new device.  

This feature start rolling out today, if you cant find this feature on your account settings wait for few days.
