Indian Government Launches Free Online Certification Courses on RTI

The Right to Information Act 2005 (RTI) is an Act of the Parliament of India "to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens. Under the provisions of the Act, any citizen may request information from a "public authority" (a body of Government or "instrumentality of State") which is required to reply expeditiously or within thirty days. -wikipedia


The Department of Personnel and Training in India launches 7 day(English) and 15 day(English) free online certification courses for Indian citizens.  The seven-day online course on RTI is a beginner level course, the 15-day course will be extensive and with a hands-on orientation whereby candidates will have to practically apply the RTI Act during the course. However the 15 course can be taken only after completion of 7 day course.

Users have internet, latest version of web browser and PDF Reader to participate to these online courses. If  Anyone interested in taking up this online course can visit http://rtiocc.cgg.gov.in and register for the course. After successful registration they send your User ID and password to your email to login to access the course.

In each chapter there will be 4 quiz questions out of which you have to answer 3 questions successfully in order to be able to move to next chapter.
